Focus Area Plans

The Corridor Plan is designed as a holistic development plan built around the six key Principles that define the places and people that comprise South Division. The overall length of the Corridor (approximately 3 miles from Wealthy to 28th Street) and the changing fabric of the Corridor along its length led to an approach that addresses unifying elements as well as the development of more specific Focus Areas of plan development and implementation. These six Focus Areas were defined by the Steering Committee and recognize existing community patterns, such as the established Burton Heights commercial area and the possibility of developing new nodes around major Silver Line BRT stops or other assets that could create new opportunities for the community. Recommendations for each Focus Area are intended to be utilized in other parts of the Corridor that share similar characteristics. To see detailed plans for each focus area.
