To help facilitate the plan, eight “Community Ambassadors” have been selected by the Planning Team. The position was created for people who work, own businesses, or live in nearby neighborhoods along the South Division Corridor who want to get directly involved (and help others to get involved) with the South Division Corridor Plan process.
Community Ambassadors will act as an extension of the project team to reach out to the community about the project. The Ambassadors will host small meetings that take the process into the places where people already meet and engage, anywhere from church study groups to soccer fields. Additionally, they may perform door to-door outreach, surveying, and provide support at larger community meetings.
